Razer TE audio controller

I bought my headset about 3 weeks ago it was working fine but today i try and use it and theres no audio i have unplugged the jack from the controller and plugged the headphones straight into my laptop and it works fine it also works fine on my phone but when i re plugged it into the controller no sound the controller does work and i hear the sound when i reach the maximum sound i have tried reinstalling all my drivers i have also checked that my audio devices are put the right way around with the thx spacial as my main and the chat as my communication i really couldn't find anything on YouTube that helped
