Razer Thresher Ultimate for PS4 is not getting detected by PS4 (or Win10) | Razer Insider

I'm using an old Razer Thresher Ultimate for PS4 headset for audio output only and it has been working fine for maybe a year now for the output part. I got the whole setup from a close friend who had it working before.

Just now the kids wanted to play online with friends, and realized that the microphone is not working.

If I turn down the mic volume wheel on the headset, the headset will beep and red light lights up on the

end of the mic.

I followed the user guide (https://dl.razerzone.com/master-guides/Thresher/ThresherUltimatePS4-en.pdf) to check and re-set the wires. When I reach the part 5 / 7 : Settings > Devices > Audio Devices there is no "USB Headset (Razer Thresher Ultimate for PS4)" option available.

There is no input devices at all, and only "TV or AV amplifier" output device available. I don't have any other audio device attached to PS4 ad that same output option is there even when I disconnect the Thresher base station completely.

The following three options about headset controls are grayed out. This looks to me like the headset is getting used as generic audio output device, but does not identify itself with PS4 correctly.

I have just attempted to update the firmware on the device by using Windows 10 desktop PC and following this instruction:

https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1656/~/razer-thresher-ultimate-for-ps4-firmware-updater-%7C-rz04-01590

I have followed the instructions about plugging the base station in with two USB cables and turning it on, but the "Next" button remains disabled and firmware update won't proceed as Next button is unavailable.

When I check the Windows settings menu "Bluetooth & other devices" there is under "Other devices" header an item "Razer Thresher Ultimate for Xbox One". This is when the USB A male-male cable is plugged in. When I disconnect the USB A-A cable, the device is removed from that list too.

Unlike on PS4, I cannot use the headphones on my Windows 10 machine at all as they are not recognized as audio device.

What can I do to try and get this working?
Error tracking continues:

I tested my Arctis Steelseries 7 headphones on the PS4 and they get detected immediately and

microphone & input settings work just like expected.

So problem lies definitely with the Razer Thresher Ultimate. What can I do to try fix them?
