Razer Tomahawk NUC (RTX 3080 FE) - Top Fans stopped spinning. | Razer Insider

I received my Razer Tomahawk NUC w/ the RTX 3080 FE and when I set it up the GPU PCI-E cable was in the way of the fan. I didn't know that it was supposed to be pushed lower as I didn't want to damage my system so I gently place it inside the enclosure while making sure the cable wasn't interfering.

When I started my PC I heard a "clacking sound" and after turning the system off (via the power button, I held it down) I moved the cable further. It's an incredibly tight squeeze and nothing was damaged. I turned the PC back on, everything went smoothly but both of my top fans (exhaust) stopped spinning. After setting up windows I shutdown the PC and checked the fans (only pushed them with a finger), the fans spun, after starting up again I saw the fans spin for a moment and then completely stop again. I'm unsure if this is due to the fan setting and they don't spin unless the system reaches a certain temperature or if they were damaged in the initial load.

I didn't know this was an issue until I checked the FAQ, I haven't had the system for even 24 hours, and I'm incredibly stressed and concerned. Other than the fans, everything else is running smoothly, the RTX 3080 is connected properly, there are no other issues, weird noises, or anything else.
I liked your post but not really, that's a big disappointment, I hope it gets resolved. Those NUC rigs look fantastic, I think the idea is pretty innovative. I'm curious to hear how the gaming experience is, maybe you could let us know eventually.
It turns out the fans weren't damaged and only began spinning after a certain temperature threshold. I'd advise anyone buying one that when installing the GPU make sure to firmly move the PCI-E and GPU cables out of the way (I moved mine inbetween the NUC and the GPU (3080)). Those cables are incredibly durable, initially I had worries there might be an issue bending them as much but there wasn't any problems.

I can't state my gaming experience at this time and by the time I can I expect many will be posting here or elsewhere. I'm currently in the middle of reworking my studio, it's a bit hot in here. XD

(The issue has been resolved, if a Moderator can close this thread, that would be appreciated.
