Razer Universal Quick Charging Stand for Xbox not charging?

Hello,

 

I recently purchased a Razer Universal Quick Charging Stand for Xbox I put the battery in the way instructed and the cover on, then put the controller on it overnight. the light is still orange, and when I look at the battery amount for the controller, it is still very low. The battery also has some heat to it. 

 

Is there anything else I need to do aside from plug the stand into a usb port and put the controller on the charger? 

 

The light turns orange to indicate charging, however it isn’t charging.

To isolate the problem, please try the steps below:

  1. Ensure the rechargeable battery is placed at the correct orientation.
  2. Ensure the USB charging cable is plugged into a powered USB-A port.
  3. Make sure the controller is sitting on the charging stand properly with the charging contacts aligned.
