Razer Viper Ambidextrous frame drops | Razer Insider

Hello Razer Insiders,

Having used the Razer Viper Ambidextrous for a few months now I have noticed some performance issues when I use the mouse. I have figured that it is my mouse as when I play games that are primarily keyboard based like among us, with no camera movement, I find no issue. I have also experienced these frame drops in games like Hogwarts legacy and Minecraft whilst not having them when using controller or my previous mouse.

I would greatly appreciate if you could offer a solution to my issue with professional advice, helping me to game to my fullest potential. Overall I have quite enjoyed using the mouse but the frame rate drawbacks are very irritating, and likely take away from my game performance.

Kind regards, Kryu79

What polling rate do you have set?

If 1000Hz, lower it to 500 and check if the same thing is happening.

I do not know the polling rate, I don't know very much about computers and mice, how do I do stuff, I am very dumb in terms of technology knowledge. I do know that the button underneath the mouse is set to light blue.

Do you have Synapse installed (to manage mouse settings)? https://www.razer.com/synapse-3

If yes, go to Mouse tab → Performance and on the right side you’ll have Polling Rate setting - set it to 500 and test.
