Razer Viper Ultimate Charging Dock Issues

Hi there, Not sure if anyone else is facing the same issue as me, but i cant seem to charge via the charging dock. Through the wall plug or through a usb 3 port on my PC. Charging the mouse directly via the wire seem to work fine. The LED on the charging dock still blinks and breathes the right colours when it charges e.g. red when low on battery and green when battery is more than 50%. USB dongle is plugged into the charging dock as per the instruction manual. I'm not sure what else is wrong. I have tried turning off the mouse to conserve battery but it still doesnt work. Hope someone can shed some insight.
