Razer Viper Ultimate (dock) not working; Windows pop-up showing "Power surge on the USB port" | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello there,

Many thanks in advance to anyone reading. My mouse is working fine, however, its charging dock isn't. Whenever I connect it to any PC, it simply shows the message in the title and annexed file.

Initially I thought it could be related to a specific PC but after all the troubleshooting, it seems the issue lies with the dock/cable. The product was bought brand new and quite recently - first attempt at charging!

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or will I need to get a replacement?

EDIT: Also tried uninstalling the Razor app entirely, no difference.

Thank you again!
Be sure, that cable is properly plugged into dock - it goes really deep inside the dock, so the cable is not "on par" with the dock case.

And if you plug mouse with the same cable - what happens?

Hi

Well, the cable is all the way in for sure (I tried plugging it last into the dock and the windows pop up appears as soon as its plugged).

If plugged just to the mouse, nothing happens. From what I saw its supposed to charge like that as well but nothing...I open the app and the battery status does not change.

Edit: one time, the Razor app loading screen popped when inserting the cable (I figure the dock will require an update) but it disappeared and the Windows pop-up followed.
