Razer Viper Ultimate keeps disconnecting

Hi, for a few days now my Razor Viper Ultimate keeps disconnecting, more and more frecuently, in wireless mode (it works perfectly with wired mode). I’ve tried reinstalling Synapse, updating the firmware, changing to another port, different PC and even tried using the mouse without the software and the problem remains.

Is it a dongle issue? Did the software update causes my dongle to malfunction? Is there any problem with the 2.4 GHz connectivity?

Thanks in advance!

May be a dongle issue, but also may be interference caused from other 2.4GHz devices (wifi/bluetooth/microwaves etc).

Try to plug the dongle via cable extension, put it on a table close to the mouse (but away from other USB 3.0 devices, power outlets etc if possible).

I've tried to plug it to every USB port (2.0 and 3.0) with an extension cable, placing the dongle in different positions and nothing… I think it is just a hardware issue, but doesn't make sense, it was working perfectly, and began disconnecting for no reason.

You can also try to turn off your Wifi (in PC/laptop) also the wifi router for a moment, if the mouse is working correctly, then turn it on, and reconfigure your router into a different 2.4GHz channel.

I tryed it yesterday with no success… it kept disconnecting after turning off de router. I guess it's just "broken". Thanks for your help anyway!!

having the same issue now. cant fix it

Having the same issue now too, tried placing in different ports and restarting pc. Is it broken?

Excactly the same issue here!
It worked perfectly fne and all of a sudden it stopped.
When i try to reconnect wireless, the mouse works for 3 secounds and stops again.

Razer even send me a new donggle today, issue still the same...

This is also the same issue of mine, ive already tried it on other pc but this specifically happens on my pc.

Same issue here, I see Razer not doing anything to adddress this,

Experiencing the very same issue right now, suddenly stopped disconnecting and reconnecting every second, and only happens when connected wirelessly via USB dongle and works perfectly fine wired.

I’ve tested the ff and identified it to be the USB dongle.
• Tried different USB power settings
• Turned off WiFi/Router to isolate any wireless interferences
• Unplugged and powered off wireless devices using 2.4 USB dongles (Keyboard, Controller, Headset)
• Connected directly to PC’s USB port and other ports available
• Tried different PC and laptop (one has lower version of synapse, other has no synapse installed)
• It can’t be a synapse software, as it has the latest software updated over a month ago

Have tried above actions but no luck, and the obvious one is that even when the mouse is powered-off, there’s a sound/notification of USB being plugged and unplugged when the Viper Ult USB dongle is just connected, and it stops when I disconnect it.

Has anyone who experienced the same, tried getting the USB dongle replaced & paired?

I was told that I will need to buy a new dongle since my warranty is void. Next time I’ll buy a Logitech instead. I hope they bankrupt soon.

don’t try anything else, just uninstall the effin’ software (Synapse) and the wireless mode on your mouse will return back to normal operation.!

I am now also having this issue, ive tried all the usual troubleshooting and it is the dongle that is broken and it happened randomly as I was using it! All the drivers are up date, is it worth having who bought me it contact Razer as it was a gift and not sure they will accept me contacting them?

I am also having this issue with dock. When my mouse is connected wireless via dock it disconnects randomly for 3 seconds and connect again. But when I connect my mouse directly to my laptop than its working fine. If I can get a refund I would probably go with another mice. I don’t exactly know the issue but I cannot use my dock. Then why Razer selling these dock together with mice...

Im having an issue with the cable disconnecting randomly, and my computer not recognizing it as a Razer Viper Ultimate. Instead it says a HID Compliant Mouse.

Is there any resolve to this or we just need to buy new dongle and also what's the guarantee that it'll work with the new dongle?
