While playing BF 2042 if I lift the mouse off my desk all mouse movement becomes erratic and is not correctable until I completely exit the game and restart it. This does not happen with other mice.
Strangely enough the mouse is still working fine in the BF 2042 menus and user interface when this happens.

My first impulse is to blame the game but I have tried two other mice  and neither exhibits this behavior.

This occurs whether I am using it in wireless or wired mode.
