Razer Viper ultimate Right clicking constantly on its own. any fix to this? | Razer Insider

I’ve had the razer viper ultimate for about 2 years now and Ive had no problems. Its still in pretty good condition with little to no wear and tear from use. Yesterday however while i was playing a game i noticed that the right click stopped worked for a few seconds. Once i realized the mouse is malfunctioning, i exited the game and its been constantly either right clicking or right click holding on its own. I was using it wireless at this point and when i connected the wire directly to the mouse, the light started blinking constantly on the mouse and the mouse itself wasn’t working at all. Ive tried updating the firmware for both the wireless dongle and the mouse, ive uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, closed synapse etc nothing seems to be fixing the issue. Ive also tested with another mouse to make sure its not my pc thats the issue. Is there any hope for fixing this or is my only option to buy another mouse now that the warranty has expired?

Hi geoDeepKoamaru710,

Please try to do the following steps below and check if the issue is fixed.

  1. Use a can of compressed air to gently blow away dirt under the affected buttons.
  2. Test the mouse with a different system without Synapse.
  3. Check if another application is causing the issue. Exit all apps by going to System Tray. Locate the Razer Synapse Icon, then right-click and select “Exit All Apps”.Windows UI showing how to Exit Synapse in Windows 10
  4. Perform a clean reinstall of Razer Synapse if the issue persists.

If you need further help, PM me with the serial number so I can verify its model and check my resources for other workarounds. All the best!
