So i have been using this mouse for about 8 months, and recently the scroll wheel has been jumping, either not scrolling down, scrolling up instead of down, and vice versa. I tried blowing air into it, reseting the software, updating firmware, reseting the mouse, and even plugged into another computer and the problem persisted, at this point it has gotten so bad that the scroll wheel is practically unusable

Hi goofyahh23,

I’m here to help. I understand you’re having issue with your Razer Viper V2 Pro scroll wheel. Since you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, let's explore a few additional options:

  • Please check for dust or debris: Sometimes, dust can accumulate inside the scroll wheel mechanism. Gently clean the area with a soft brush or compressed air to ensure it's clear.
  • Try performing a hardware reset. This might help recalibrate the scroll wheel. Follow the steps below:
    1.
Unplug your mouse from your computer.
    2. Press the left mouse button + right mouse button + Scroll Wheel button at the same time for about 10 seconds
    3. Plug your mouse into the computer while holding step #2.
    4. Your computer will recognize a new device and will start to install the drivers if this is done correctly.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, we might need to consider a replacement. If you need further assistance, please feel free to send me a PM with your device’s serial number and proof of purchase so I can verify its warranty. All the best!
