Razer viper v2 pro dongle stoppped working

hi! My mouse worked fine in the evening in wireless mode via dongle, but it was almost out of charge. In the morning, I started charging and using it at the same time. When I unplugged the cable and tried using it wirelessly, nothing happened. I understand the problem is with the dongle, as the mouse works fine over the wire. Also, when I plug the dongle into the PC, there is no sound of a new device being plugged in as there normally is.

This is a known issue with the Viper V2 Pro 2.4GHz Dongles unfortunately and LUCKILY for us, Razer actually knows about it as its a QA problem with the Viper V2 Pro dongle specifically.

I would contact Razer Support directly if you are still within the warranty period and just describe the issue to them in the form and be sure you do provide your physical mailing address to them and they should send you a new dongle (they did for me w/o much of a fuss, naturally it took awhile to arrive in my mailbox).

It will be a generic HyperSpeed 2.4GHz Dongle that they send tho, it won’t say what your original one says on the cover.

You will have to use the pairing utility to get the new 2.4GHz HyperSpeed dongle they send you in the mail to pair up with the Viper V2 Pro which takes a few minutes if you are successful.

Hello Anldorian,

Have you tried plugging the dongle into a different USB port on your computer? If possible, try using a different computer to see if the dongle is recognized. This can help determine if the issue is with the dongle or with the specific USB port on your computer. Please download the pairing utility here and check if it resolves the issue. If the problem persists, PM me your device serial number and proof of purchase for warranty validation. Save the shareable files via any online drive account listed in this link. All the best!
