Hello, Razer Team!
About 3-4 days ago, I started experiencing an issue with my Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed mouse.
Over the past few days, I have been trying to diagnose and resolve the problem myself, as I have been using wireless mice for many years. Unfortunately, none of my attempts have been successful.
The mouse has started experiencing recurring signal dropouts whenever it makes contact with the mouse pad after being lifted. To clarify, moving the mouse across the mouse pad WITHOUT lifting it does not currently cause any issues. However, even slightly lifting and lowering the mouse, with minimal force, causes the signal to drop.
There were no preceding incidents or changes that could have caused this issue. Specifically, there have been no:
-Drops or falls from any height;
-Impacts or forceful hits against the desk (I have no reason to deliberately damage my own equipment);
-Hair, pet fur, water, or moisture getting into the mouse. My hands do not sweat, and the mouse has grip tape applied to its outer surfaces, which also helps prevent foreign particles from accumulating on it;
-PC, operating system, or other relevant software updates.
Here is what I have tried so far to identify and resolve the issue:
-Replaced the batteries multiple times, testing both AA and AAA batteries with an adapter, using different brands: Duracell, Energizer, Varta, and GP;
-Cleaned the battery contacts and spring using an eraser and isopropyl alcohol;
-Reinstalled Razer Synapse 4.0. I have been using version 4.0 since the beginning of this year, and I have had no issues with my other Razer devices (camera and headphones);
-Updated both the mouse firmware and the firmware of the original USB dongle. Both are currently running the latest available firmware version, 2.00.02;
Completely removed the mouse from Device Manager and restarted my PC. I performed this procedure two or three times, leaving approximately one day between attempts;
-Tested the mouse with different USB ports, including USB 2.0, 3.0, and 3.2 ports on both the motherboard's rear I/O panel and the front of the PC case, as well as through a USB adapter and a USB hub. I also relocated my motherboard's external Wi-Fi/Bluetooth antenna and extended it away from the PC using its cables to rule out potential wireless interference. Although I doubt this was the cause, as I would likely have noticed such an issue much earlier, I tested it anyway.
Approximately six months ago, I also experienced double-clicking issues, which I managed to resolve myself. However, I have been unable to resolve this particular problem despite all my troubleshooting efforts.
I have owned this mouse since early May 2025.
I would be happy to provide the serial number, proof of purchase, and any other information required to investigate this issue.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.
Kind regards.
