Hey, so i have my V4 pro since Friday, and so far i really enjoy it.. Quality is great.. Sticks are crazy responsive, looks good feels good.

My biggest issue, it seems to suffer from the same problem like the V3 in regards to charging, I charged it like this.. Cable in, turns orange, console off. Controller not fully charged. Have done this with my V3 all the time and worked fine, I've read the V3 had a software issue where it was super slow doing it like this.. It may is the same bug appearing here?

Also, please add the function to the xbox razer app to deactivate the socd or what it's called, I don't need it and feel the more things are active in the background, the easier you encounter bugs.

ALSO for whatever reason it seems to have stuck / over moving inputs, example, I turn in battlefield 6 and my character gets stuck in this for a second more. Also happens when moving that i randomly turn to the side a bit. Not happening often, but it does.

I'm sure most is just software related, otherwise it's a banger controller, and i hope we can squish the bugs.

Kind regards.

Myself and a bunch of other users are experiencing the same exact issue when connecting to the Xbox wirelessly. Hard wired it is flawless, but aiming is inconsistent and not precise when using the wireless dongle. It's like small inputs are not registered or way overcorrected. I have opened a support ticket with Razer but they have not acknowledged this as a known issue yet. I refuse to keep this thing past my return window unless I know that Razer has acknowledged the issue and that a firmware fix is being developed. I suggest anyone encountering this issue opens a support ticket with Razer ASAP, so they know this is a widespread issue this so they start working on a fix immediately.

Razer Wolverine V4 Pro – Stuck in Xbox Mode / Synapse 4 Cockpit Not Working

Hello everyone,

My new Razer Wolverine V4 Pro works normally when playing games on my Xbox Series X. Windows also recognizes the controller when connected to my PC.

However, the real problem starts when I try to configure it through Razer Synapse 4.

Synapse 4 detects my controller but constantly displays this warning:

"Your controller is currently in Xbox Mode. Use the shortcut to switch to XInput or HID Mode."

The application shows Function (○) + Menu (☰) + A / Y.

I've repeatedly tried all three combinations:

  • Function + Menu + A (XInput Mode)
  • Function + Menu + Y (HID Mode)
  • Function + Menu + X (Xbox Mode)

None of them solve the problem, whether I'm using the original USB-C cable or the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle.

I've also checked and tried:

  • Windows Device Manager: recognized as an Xbox Gaming Device with a Microsoft driver.
  • Official Razer Drivers & Downloads page: checked for firmware updates but only found the Pairing Utility, not a separate firmware updater.
  • Restarted Windows and Synapse 4 multiple times, including running Synapse as administrator.
  • Followed Razer Support's troubleshooting instructions.

Nothing has worked! Synapse 4 remains stuck in Xbox Mode, and I cannot access the Razer Cockpit to fine-tune my analog sticks, triggers, deadzones and button mappings for games like Call of Duty.

I've already opened a support ticket, which has been escalated to Razer's technical specialists.

Is anyone else having this problem? Can you successfully switch to PC/XInput Mode and access the Cockpit? Could this be a firmware or Synapse 4 bug?

If you're experiencing the same issue, please report it to Razer Support as well.

I received my controller on October 23, three days before its official German release on October 26. My 14-day return window therefore ends three days earlier than for someone who received theirs on release day. I'm worried Razer won't resolve the issue before I have to decide whether to return it, even though I'd really like to keep it.

And by the way: My controller also shows an empty battery indicator while charging on Xbox Series X. This is a minor issue compared to being unable to access the Razer Cockpit.
