Razerblade 17 2022 Thermal Throttle and Power off issues

I’ve been having a ton of issues with my RB 17 i9 12900H and 3070Ti - 1440p.

First it started to shut down due to over 100°C on the CPU, i also had some issues for a while with Thermal Throttling heavily impacting game performance.

I started to sort it out using the guide from Razer support, cleaned fans, changed thermal paste, reset drivers, clean Windows installation, everything on default and it didn’t seem to really do much as i can’t game and from time to time, is starts to heat up even while idle or performing medium/low resource tasks such as installing a driver.

I have a cooling stand, the laptop is elevated and fans running at max, but started to notice some stuff when using HWiNFO and Throttlestop, i highly recommend using Throttlestop to disable turbo, that changed all the thermals while idle and got to game without much issues . However, started to notice a new issue that i wasn’t aware of, while the 280w PowerSupply was connected, it would go again Over 100° and turn off, black screen, disorted sound and the only choice is to hold power button and restart, of course, incredibly hot on the top of F4-F9, way too hot.

After testing today, i tried disabling Turbo and Hyper for the CPU in BIOS and did little to none difference, tried stress testing the CPU and it doesn’t really have much issues, doesn’t heat up over 80°, but when loading games, even compiling shaders, it started to thermal throttle then fail again.

I’m currently monitoring the thermals on the GPU, it stands on idle around 95° while power supply is connected and as soon as i disconnect it, it goes below 80 really fast.

At this point it seems that the power supply is faulty (I bought this RB in March 2024) and noticed it doesn’t heat up that much anymore (And it used to be really hot sometimes) but seems to keep charging with no issues, the thing is, when its connected, i cannot game, but as soon as i plug it off it starts to work again (Using only Nvidia GPU).

I’m not sure if there’s an issue with the GPU, CPU, but just ordered a new power supply to see if that sorts it out.

IF anyone has a similar issue or has gone through this in the past, please tell me what can i do to avoid it as i really really want to game but i just can’t.
