I lost several files and photos when Cortex started a clean that removed several items on my pc. Im wondering how to get it restored and back on my computer since many of those files I use for my classes and work.
Would greatly appreciate the assistance to restore my files please.

+1Dunno how it was deleted via Cortex - you can customize what do you want to clean. Did you stored in some “generic” folder like Downloads etc?
Check trash bin for deleted files, but it may be emptied, so only thing you can try to recover it via PhotoRec software (it’s free): https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec
