RazorID email/pw works in synapse 3 but does not work in synapse 2

I have a naga and now an orbweaver. Already a little disappointed that I need Two different versions of Synapse to get these devices working, but ok, whatever. Now I'm having issues with login with Synapse2. My email address has a + sign in it (my.name+Razer@gmail.com).. I am able to login to the razer website, and synapse 3 with this email and password... Synapse 2 says it is invalid. Not sure what to do... Do I now also need a second razor id profile, to go along with my seperate synapse?
