I’ve checked the paste on my laptop and I think I need to repaste it, but should I buy some new thermal pad too?

I would go with whatever you want for your laptop. If you want some thermal pads that work really well, I would go to https://www.lttstore.com/
I don’t think they did sell thermal pad
+1You can try the praised Honeywell PTM7950 Thermopad (thermal paste as a pad) - I’m not really fan of it (maybe I’ve got some counterfeit).
Or you can try just a generic thermal paste like Arctic MX6 (good performance to price ratio), for thermalpads I’d go with Gelid GP-Extreme.
