Reproducible system reboots when NVIDIA GPU is enabled + ongoing micro-freezes

Hello Razer Support,

I’m experiencing a serious and reproducible stability issue with my laptop and would like your help investigating it.

Issue description:

  • The system performs unexpected hard reboots without any error message or BSOD, most noticeably during light workloads such as Google Meet / video calls.

  • This behavior occurs only when the NVIDIA GPU is enabled.

  • When I disable the NVIDIA GPU via Device Manager, the laptop remains completely stable and the reboots no longer occur.

  • System temperatures are normal and do not appear to be a factor.

Key diagnostic result:

  • NVIDIA GPU enabled → random system reboots

  • NVIDIA GPU disabled → system stable, no reboots

This strongly suggests a problem related to the discrete GPU, GPU power management, firmware (EC/BIOS), or GPU driver–hardware interaction, rather than Windows or the applications themselves.

Additional ongoing issue (previously reported):

  • Persistent micro-freezes / stuttering, even under light load

  • This issue has not been resolved yet and may be related to the same GPU instability

Troubleshooting already performed:

  • Multiple NVIDIA driver installations, including clean installs

  • Hardware acceleration and overlays disabled

  • Thermal behavior verified (no overheating or throttling)

  • Issue remains fully reproducible as long as the NVIDIA GPU is active

Since the system is stable with the NVIDIA GPU disabled, I would appreciate your guidance on:

  • Any known firmware, BIOS, EC or driver-level fixes

  • Additional diagnostics you would recommend

  • Whether this behavior is known for this model or GPU generation

I’m happy to provide logs, system information, or perform further tests if needed.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Kind regards,
