rgb razer logo on my viper 8khz wont turn off

so i recently bought a new viper 8khz wired mouse, it’s brand new, and i’ve only had and used it for 5 days. i got an update for my razer synapse this morning and since updating the rgb on my mouse won’t turn off unless it’s unplugged or the PC is shut down. it has this dim white silhouette around the logo even when i turn off the rgb. i cross checked with my friend who owns the same mouse, and his lights do in fact turn off completely when disabled. i can’t figure out what might be causing this, if it was the update, or chroma, or if it’s a hardware issue. any help is appreciated. thanks!
