RMA Status and Razercare Warranty Folks Don't Communicate | Razer Insider

Hi folks,

Does anyone have experience contacting BOTH the Razercare Warranty people and the RMA people? I sent my laptop in for repair about 1 month ago and, like everyone else, have heard nothing from the RMA team other than “received and processing” and another message that says “external depot request,” depending on the page.

I’ve called the Razercare people several times and even THEY said they keep trying to contact the RMA team and that the RMA people aren’t responding to them. The Razercare folks know my laptop is at the factory--that is all they know, and they keep saying they’ll let me know when they can reach the RMA people, but each time I call, they say they can’t reach them. I recently tried sending a message in the case history, so maybe I’ll receive a response there. That’s tbd.

I’m not sure if I have a question or I’m just missing something here, but I keep seeing threads about the RMAs just not happening or Razer stealing people’s products that they BOUGHT from Razer. Heck, I even bought the $350 warranty because I use my laptop for work AT A GAME COMPANY (yeah yeah desktops are better, but they send me around a lot for this job and that’s not the point).

The point is that I currently do not have my laptop after paying for a warranty. It is making my work very, very difficult. I fear this going on for another 2 months (as others have said). A repair process should be communicative if it isn’t going to be quick. I’m most alarmed that the warranty people literally can’t contact the RMA people---WHAT IS THE POINT OF BUYING A WARRANTY if the two teams don’t even talk to one another?

After reading all these stories about RMAs going missing, I saw the pinned thread for Razer Support Rockstars and at least had a sardonic laugh.

P.S. It’s aggravating because I had been singing my laptops praises, but what’s the point of buying a good product if the risk of something going wrong is magnified by paltry support, even with a Razercare warranty?
