Hey all, hoping someone's run into this before.
My RTX 4070 Laptop GPU is showing Code 43 in Device Manager ("Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems") and I can't get it to clear no matter what I try.
What I've tried so far, all with no change:
- EC reset / power drain (which helped the frame rate drop I experienced)
- Uninstall + auto reinstall via Device Manager
- Full DDU clean wipe in Safe Mode + fresh driver install (clean install option)
- Updated to the latest BIOS
- Reset BIOS to defaults
- Switched GPU Mode in BIOS from Dynamic Display Switch to discrete GPU only
- Ran sfc /scannow (found and fixed some corrupted files) and DISM RestoreHealth
Still the same error after every single one of those, with reboots in between each step. At this point I'm fairly convinced it's hardware, but wanted to ask here in case anyone's seen Code 43 survive all of that and still turn out to be fixable. Appreciate any ideas before I open a repair ticket.
