I recently just got my razer blade stealth 13 late 2019, and i love this little machine to death, but i’ve been hitting a roadblock for the past few days concerning running Linux Ubuntu on it. I want to make using Ubuntu feel more normal to me, so i try every means possible to not use windows as much, but i can’t. I dualbooted Ubuntu onto my laptop, but then after the whole setting up and i rebooted it so i can use it, my screen goes blank and dark, i know it’s working because my keyboard rgb backlight is on, but it just isn’t loading me to the desktop so i can login and use Ubuntu. I tried everything possible, but the only way i got to boot to my desktop and use it was by deleting all nvidia graphics  driver and running off of my cpu alone. This was kind of a letdown for me, as i was hoping to run more powerful software and see how gaming feels like on linux. Please does anyone have any suggestions on getting it to work, i will greatly appreciate it. I was told that it was my laptop failing to establish a handshake with the nvidia drivers. I even tried installing an older driver like 535 instead of 595, and i still met the same issue.

I get the same issue with my late 2020 version. I have the correct nvidia driver installed. I have tried nomodeset, prime-select inel, I have removed all nvidia files and reinstalled, all with the same result. I can boot to the grub menu and select recovery and the system starts but im stuck with an 800x600 resolution. There has to be a way to resolve this. Should I replace my desktop so as to remove weyland and go back to X?
