Screen Dimming | Razer Insider

Hello!

I am having an interesting issue regarding my Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2080 Max Q laptop. Whenever my screen goes off (whether it hits general timer or I unplug/plug in the charger) the screen comes back as dim. Generally I can go into my Windows Settings > Display and the screen will brighten immediately. Sometimes I need to reboot the PC to get the dimming to come back. From the research I have been able to find, this seems to stem from the onboard Intel graphics card. I have gone into my nVidia control panel and set the 2080 card as the global card to use. I have attempted to update all drivers (saying they are up to date) and still I this issue persists. I am unable to get to the onboard graphics card settings and actually see what is happening or what is set there. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Hey there! Thanks for initiating this thread. Have you tried disabling the Windows Fast Startup feature? Let's isolate the issue by performing the following:

I have done this and it doesn't seem to work. Not sure how the fast start up feature would make a difference on the screen dimming whenever the screen flashes off even for a moment. However, as I've researched I did come across this FAQ in the support page for my version of the laptop:

"

Why does my screen brightness become dimmer than my preferred settings after plugging or unplugging my power adapter?

We are aware of this issue and are currently working with our supplier to come up with a more permanent fix via driver updates. For now, we request that you manually re-adjust the brightness by pressing FN and F8 to dim or FN and F9 to brighten your screen. You may also use the brightness slider via Display Settings. We will provide an updater as soon as possible."

This leads me to believe this is an ongoing issue they are attempting to resolve. I have also updated all of my Intel drivers to the current versions to be sure I have all updates. I have not yet run into the issue since the update but have not been using my laptop to the same degree as normal today.
Thanks for the follow-up. And yes, that's in the FAQ of the Razer Blade 2019 Advanced. I've let you do this steps as part of the isolation. Anyhow, allow me to raise this to our Support Team and forward the logs from your laptop so they can use it in their investigation. Please submit a case to our Support Team or send me a PM together with the following:

Alright. I am submitting all the requested information now and since my last reply the dimming issue is still happening even with the intel driver updates. I'll send you a direct message as well.
Thanks NightPort! I'll wait for your follow-up.
