Screen won't sleep: Razer Kraken kitty

Ok, I apologise as this has definitely been asked before. However, I searched the forums first and tried the suggestions and none have worked for me, hence why I'm posting here. Problem: I got a razer Kraken kitty headset + installed synapse for the purdy lights -> screen turns off to sleep then instantly pops back on as if the mouse has been moved. Headset: Razer kraken kitty (wired) System: Amd ryzen 3 3300x Nvidia Geforce 1660 super ventus Microsoft windows 10 home ed. Attempted: 1) Disabling Nvidia output In sound settings 2) disabling HID (this worked when I disabled the USB input device one but also means that I have NO lights on my headset so kinda not what I want). 3) Praying to the PC gods for a solution. So far after many restarts nothing has worked (minus the disabling the HID but then that defeats the purpose as I lose my pretty flashy lights)
