scroll wheel not responding DeathAdder V2


Scroll wheel is mostly unresponsive, rarely it will move a page by a small margin.

Tried cleaning scroll wheel with compressed air, updating Synapse software and firmware, issue persists on other machines.

Only a couple of years old, last DeathAdder (3G) lasted over 10 years.

Does the same behavior happen while plugging the mouse into another USB port or computer? Try resetting the mouse via the Razer Synapse settings too. If it is within two years from the date of purchase, then you can request a warranty claim from the place where you purchase the peripheral.

Yeah, the same behavior occurs with different USB ports and computers, tried the reset. Sadly can’t find the receipt.

I’ve brought my old DeathAdder out of retirement (scroll wheel still works) and combined it with the V2:

This allows me to switch between them depending on if the situation requires clicking or scrolling. In some situations I have to use both hands but I have managed to keep my rank in counter strike.

I like the tape mod.

If you didn’t found recepit for the mouse, maybe there is some other thing, that will identify your purchase (for eg. order info at mail or transaction date if you’ve paid by card - dunno where you bought it, but some shops will honor it… or maybe they can give you purchase bill duplicate).

The same thing has just happened to mine. I’ve tried the suggested solutions with no success. I believe it’s less than a month out of the 1-year warranty. Ugh.🙄

I had to disassemble the mouse to get direct access to the mouse wheel housing, using compressed air I was able to get it working again. God bless
