Dear Razer Support,

I own a Razer Blade 16 (RZ09-0483, Intel i9-13950HX, RTX 4080) and I am experiencing serious issues with the sound and microphone.

Issue description:
Whenever I play any kind of audio (for example YouTube videos, media players, Zoom meetings, or any application that sends or receives audio), the entire system starts to stutter and lag.
The sound is audible, but it continuously cuts in and out, and the whole system becomes stuttering.
When I stop the audio playback or stop using the microphone, the system immediately returns to normal operation.

In the Voice Recorder app, recording automatically stops after a few seconds with the message:

“The connection with the audio input source was interrupted.”

I have already tried many suggested fixes found online, but nothing has resolved the issue.
Here is what I have already done:

  • Performed a Windows 11 system reset (kept personal files, reinstalled system completely).

  • Removed all Razer software components: Razer Synapse, Chroma, THX Spatial Audio, and Razer Audio Control Service.
After the reset, some components (THX and Intel Smart Sound) automatically reinstalled themselves.

  • Completely removed all audio drivers (via Device Manager): uninstalled Realtek Audio Codec, Intel Smart Sound Technology Controller, and Microphone Array.
After several restarts, Windows automatically reinstalled the same drivers again.

Could you please advise me how to fix this issue or confirm whether it might be a hardware-related problem?
Also, could you let me know where the official authorized Razer service center is located in Slovenia, since I purchased the laptop here?

Thank you in advance for your help and feedback.

Best regards,

In addition, when booting from a Linux (Ubuntu Live) environment, audio and microphone work perfectly, confirming now that hardware is fully functional and the issue is caused by driver or kernel conflict.

This affects:

  • Intel Smart Sound Technology Audio Controller

  • Intel SST for Digital Microphones

  • Realtek Audio Codec with THX Spatial Audio

So it must be SST + THX / Realtek driver stack interaction in Windows 11 as it causes high DPC latency and system instability during any audio stream.

I found a solution.

In System - Sound - All audio devices - Audio enhancements I changed settings to OFF.
I dont have any problems anymore with sounds and microphone.

That fix works for me until I try plugging in headphones to the 3.5mm jack, then the issue comes back.

Same issue only work around is disable: realtek audio codec with thx spatial in device manager or use a bluetooth headset. Issue is >a month old now and they still haven’t fixed it.
