Sila app, connection to the server failed | Razer Insider
Question

Sila app, connection to the server failed

I recently got a new phone and followed the steps to reconnect the app. Phone is paried via bluetooth and it is on the same network as the phone, but the app just say “connection to the server failed. check your internet connection.”.

Is there a solution for this or does the app / router need an update?

I was lucky that I enabled the webui so I can access the router.

Same issue - but no new devices. WiFi is working on both Master Sila and Meshed Sila but no longer able to acees on Sila App (iPad Pro 2022). I Can’t see router on BT. Restarted all devices, re-installed Sila App.

There have been updates to iOS since I last used the Sila App successfully. Can’t think of anything else.

Guess I’ll try factory reset & start again?

So, if I have not previously enabled the Web UI toggle in the App, I’m locked out?

WiFi is still operating, but what to do when I need to change any settings in future?

got same issue.

Since server is down, second sila router disconnects ramdonly, I guess it is trying to update settings with the server. I tried factory resetting but now sync button doesn't work for meshing. I can only use Web UI config. I'm now using both routers for two different local networks. Very dissapointing as I liked this brand.

Mine reset itself after about 24 hours. (I didnt do the factory reset, nor anything else)

They have been working fine since.

Anyone found a fix or info about this issue, my app doesn't work and I can't resync via button

Where is Razer Support?

Why aren't they answering or suggesting a solution / firmware update?

I can understand they don’t keep supporting this forever but when you pay for this it should at least work, sadly I have the same problem and can’t find a solution.😕

I have the same issue. Any solutions?

Same for me, I cannot gain acess without the app, there was also this email today incase  anyone has not seen it

Dear Razer Sila User,

We have an update on the ways you can manage your Razer Sila router.

The primary configuration method via the router's web console remains unchanged and is the recommended way to manage your settings. However, the Razer Sila mobile app, a secondary option to manage your settings, will be phased out after October 16, 2024, due to a technology partner transition.

The web console will continue to allow access to all the router's settings directly from your computer or mobile device's web browser like before. You will still have full access to the Razer Sila mobile app until October 16, 2024. This gives you ample time to familiarize yourself with the web console and complete any necessary configurations.

Razer Sila router will continue to function as a WiFi router post app discontinuation. For more information on Razer Sila router, please refer to our Knowledge Base or Insider Forum.

We are committed to providing you with the best possible tools to manage your Razer Sila.

Sincerely,
Razer
