sLian Li O11 Dynamic Razer edition - USB RGB issue

Hi, I recently bought the Lian Li case however when I connect the internal USB connector for the RGB, Windows shows the USB constantly connecting and disconnecting. This only seems to happen when I install the Synapse software. If I don't install it, Windows is fine. The case has a ASRock B550 board in it but I tried it with a Gigabyte Intel board with the same results. It feels like a driver issue rather than a hardware failure with the case. I've noted a few other threads on the internet mentioning a similar issue but no solutions. Any ideas? I can run the case with just the default RGB but I'd like to use Synapse if I can. There is no other RGB software installed. Windows is showing 10.0.15063.0 as the driver for the case.
