Snap Tap not working & Keyboard stuck on "Loading all presets... 90%" | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Hello,

I am running into two issues on day 2 after purchasing the Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Keyboard,

1.) After updating the keyboard’s firmware to v1.04.00_r1 I am unable to enable the newly added feature called “Snap Tap” by using the “Fn + L Shift” shortcut, also there is not settings for the feature within the synapse software itself (Synapse updated to latest version).

So how else am i supposed to access/enable this feature?

2.) Within synapse my keyboard goes into a permanent “Loading all presets… 90%”. This prevents me from being able to go into keyboard settings within synapse by clicking on the keyboard image. A temporary workaround is to go to system tray and click on the synapse icon and select the keyboard.

Exact same issue.

Same exact thing happening to me too!

While i still have not managed resolve the issue myself following these steps, and will most likely just return the keyboard to get the Wooting one instead, here is what support had to say in the ticket regarding troubleshooting the issue.

I really hope this helps someone <3

Here are some steps that might resolve or at least isolate the issue:

1. Close all Razer-related software and Run as Administrator.

Windows 7 – Open the File Explorer, Click on Organize at the upper left part of File Explorer and click on Folder and Search Options.

look for the drivers of all Razer devices.
Uninstall all of the drivers you can find for Razer devices and make sure to select the option to delete the drivers as well.
Restart the computer.

b. Deleting temp files.
- Press Windows + r and type in "%temp%" without quotes and press enter.
- Look for any Razer folders and delete it.

c. Installing Synapse 3.
> Temporarily disable the anti-virus program and Windows Firewall.
> Download the latest installer for Synapse 3 here: https://www.razer.com/gb-en/synapse-new
> Run the installer as admin.
> Login with your account and wait for the update to finish.
