Hello Razer Support,
I am experiencing a persistent audio issue with my Razer Blade 16 (2024) – RZ09-0510x.
The problem only affects the internal laptop speakers. External audio devices, including my SteelSeries wireless headphones, work perfectly without any distortion or degradation.
Description of the issue:
-
Every time the laptop is restarted, the internal speakers initially sound perfect.
-
Approximately 15–30 seconds after audio playback begins, the sound progressively degrades.
-
The audio begins shifting toward the right speaker/channel.
-
The sound then becomes muffled, compressed, and lower in overall volume.
-
The degradation continues progressively while using the internal speakers.
-
Rebooting the laptop temporarily restores perfect sound again, but the issue always returns after a short period.
Important observations:
-
The speakers themselves appear physically functional because audio quality is initially excellent after every reboot.
-
The issue does not affect Bluetooth or wireless headphones.
-
The issue occurs regardless of whether THX Spatial Audio is enabled or disabled.
-
The issue persists even after uninstalling Razer Synapse and THX software components.
-
I attempted switching to the generic Microsoft High Definition Audio driver, but the internal speakers would not function correctly with that driver, suggesting the Blade’s internal amplifier depends on the Razer/Realtek audio stack.
-
I also disabled THX Spatial Audio Service and THX Spatial Audio Configuration under Device Manager > Software Components, but the issue still persisted.
-
Current Realtek driver version:
-
Version: 6.0.9909.1
-
Date: 11/04/2025
-
Based on troubleshooting, this appears potentially related to:
-
Realtek DSP/audio processing
-
THX APO/audio enhancement processing
-
Smart amplifier calibration/protection
-
Internal audio codec firmware behavior
Could you please advise whether this is a known issue with the current Realtek/THX driver stack for the Blade 16 (2024), and whether there are:
-
updated audio firmware packages,
-
alternative driver versions,
-
smart amp calibration procedures,
-
or additional diagnostic steps available?
Thank you very much for your assistance.
