SSD health is low according to crystal disk info, what to do?

I made a post like this a year ago and recently I reminded myself to check on the  ssd state and saw that the health of it is low. It is currently at 53%. I try to make sure that the laptop is fine by removing dust, be gentle with it, keep it digitally clean as much as I can, etc.

 

It is mostly used for work, uni and gaming. So it's not like i'm doing something questionable.

 

I'm just wondering what to do on this alarming number. despite the decrease over time, it is working fine for like 2-2.5 years. I contacted razer about it for this and for the swelling battery I found out about yesterday. They are willing to send a battery so I can fix it myself but for the ssd issue they want me to send it and pay money for it. I get a estimate in like 2 days for the price but I am the typical broke student so I rather not pay for it unless I have to.

 

So… anyone got suggestions?

SSDs tends to wear overtime, it’s normal.

You still have spare blocks available, so if one block will fail (wear), then another one from the spare pool will be taken. I have SSDs, with worse health status, and working like a charm.

Still you could consider some backup solution if you store some important files there.

Funny to see you here again. you helped me the last time when I asked the same thing :P

 

But it is nice to know how your SSDs are doing. makes me feel more trustworthy about mine. I happend to remove my battery like 10 minutes ago despite some struggles and my laptop boots up like normal luckily.

 

The thing is that I contacted  Razer support and they were willing to send a new battery but about the ssd they were like: "send ithere, it will cost money, no we don't know the cost”

 

However during the removal of the battery I saw the ssd and it looks to be easy to remove it and place a new one if it comes to that. Back-ups were already made luckily ^_^
