"Standoff" for Second SSD in 2023 Blade 16? | Razer Insider

I am installing a second SSD in my new Blade 16. There are three screws on the shield that covers the (lower) factory-installed boot SSD -- one near the connector, one that also retains the factory-installed boot SSD, and one in position to retain the second (upper) SSD once installed. There is, however, a small plastic o-ring around the third screw.

This ring does not appear to be a standoff (of the sort that holds my PS5 SSD level). In fact, it seems to PREVENT the second SSD from laying flush, and the drive secures without it. I am, however, wondering just what the heck it is in there for.

Can anybody running a two-SSD setup in the Blade 16 check to see if the ring is installed? Maybe it sits on top of the SSD once it is installed?

It is used as a washer to go between your SSD (which sits down around the post) and the screw, so the screw isn’t pressing directly on the SDD but the plastic washer which then holds down your SSD.
