Star Wars The Old Republic Keyboard

I recently purchased a Razer Keyboard that is the special edition of SWTOR keyboard.

I’ve wanted it for forever, but couldn’t afford it until now.

I plugged it into my laptop and installed razer synapse 2. It said that I needed to restart, so I let it.

Then my computer kept getting a blue screen of death stating that there was an issue with my SynTp.sys file.

I was not prepared for this situation and spent the day recovering my computer.

I wanted to try it again, because; I have wanted this keyboard for forever and it feels so nice.

Plugged it in again, installed Synapse 2 again, and then restart when instructed to.

Boom, Another BSOD. Thankfully, I thought this might happen, so I had a system restore point to go back to.

I desperately want to use this keyboard.

Am I the only one crazy enough to use such an old keyboard?

So, is there something I can do, to keep my computer from wigging out over SynTp.sys?

SynTP.sys = synaptic touchpad driver.

Try to install some newer version or try uninstalling it for a test.

Also what OS do you have?

Ok, Uninstalled SynTP.sys.

then Razer Synapse 2 didn’t recognize the keyboard.

Reinstalled Razer Synapse 2.

Still not recognizing the keyboard.

The keyboard is currently plugged in to 2 usb3.0 slots.

I will try plugging in to some other usb slots when I get home.

I had been given mine last year and it kind of worked on microsoft 10 on old drivers, ever since installing windows 11 and installing new drivers the keyboard still works but only displays the old republic logo on the keyboard touch screen. I have no idea on how to get it to work either. which is a shame because its an awesome keyboard.

Same thing as the original post...Luckily i made a restore point on my computer prior to downloading razer synapse 2    since 3 said i needed that version to use the keyboard…

The information message it provides during the update process is about a newer syntp driver being installed already so the older one wont be installed.
