Status indicator/LED dead on DeathAdder v3 Pro

Consola

I plugged in my DeathAdder v3 Pro yesterday to charge it. I noticed the LED on the mouse wasn’t turning on…

Since then it has never returned, though the mouse on/off/DPI features still work, as does charging (just no LED on the mouse to tell me what’s going on). In fact the mouse’s performance remains unchanged otherwise.

I tried to perform a firmware update, but it is stuck at the step below. It is greyed out and refusing to go any further despite the mouse being connected. I have tried several USB ports as well.

At this point, should I assume the LED is dead?

Thanks!

Just to add some information. I believe the issue lies mainly in the fact that I have the bundle consisting of the Deathadder V3 Pro +  HyperPolling Wireless Dongle.

This is technically a different SKU and I think this is why the firmware updater fails to recognize it.

This particular bundle is available for purchase from Razer themselves but is apparently not supported...

SKU doesn’t matter.

Mouse still have the same product number as non-bundled one.

If LED is dead, I’d RMA it, fw update won't help here.

Well I actually tried the Synapse v4 beta and my mouse is not being recognized at all, despite being listed in the supported devices.

In Synapse 3, it is recognized as a single product called “Razer DeathAdder v3 Pro Hyperpolling Technology”, rather than the mouse + dongle. And if I try the firmware updater, the instructions clearly apply only if you have purchased the mouse + Hyperpolling dongle separately.

So there might be something there.

The latest firmware apparently fixes some issue with the mouse LED 🤔

I will wait for support to get back, but ultimately, you’re right: RMA is probably where this is ending
