Switched My Cloth Mouse Pad to a Razer Firefly V2 - Now Having Tracking Issues w/ Razer Mamba TE | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hi there,

I used to have a generic cloth mousepad. I recently switched it to a hard mat, the Razer Firefly V2. I am experiencing some tracking issues with my Razer Mamba Tournament Edition mouse. Whenever I slightly move the mouse up or down, the pointer lags, or jumps, or shakes. It's tough because when I require pin point accuracy when playing games like League of Legends, I end up missing skill shots because of the tracking issues. I have been all over the internet, looking at various ways to fix this issue. From reinstalling Synapse, removing and adding devices, clearing things in Services, calibrating in Synapse, cleaning the lens with alcohol, and even switching USB ports. I have done everything, but there is still tracking issues. I used another mouse from Corsair and it works without any issues. I don't want to use this mouse because the Mamba TE matches really well with my Firefly V2, RGB wise. Also, I am a Razer fan and would like my setup to be Razer. Can you please help with any tip or suggestion you may have?

Thank you for your time,

Pierre
The tracking issues you're experiencing can be attributed to the limitations of the sensor in the mouse. It just doesn't work well with micro-textured surfaces like the one on the Firefly V2.
