Swollen Battery | Razer Insider

I have a Razer Blade 15 2020 Advanced - I've had it for just over a year at this point. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the trackpad was starting to get very hard to press down on the left side. I thought maybe some dirt had got trapped inside, so I took the bottom cover off the machine to take a look. On further inspection - I was able to see the problem, which is that the battery is bulging quite significantly on the left side.

Either related or unrelated, but at the same time as I began to notice the trackpad issue - I started experiencing overheating issues where the system would power off due to critical temps i.e. > 100c. In any case the heat has seemed to warp the speaker grills - they have puffed out and there are now tiny ridges on them.

Machine is out of warranty (just), so I was wondering if you can supply me with parts to fix this. I'd rather not opt for an after market battery and ofcourse it will be almost impossible to find an aftermarket/second hand faceplate to fix the speaker grill.

At the time this machine cost me £3,300 - so slightly shocked at the apparent longevity of these machines.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your laptop's battery. Razer does not send batteries as a spare parts. However, they offer repairs with hardware diagnostic for all Razer Blades as long as it is not part of our discontinued models. Also, our service center accepts cosmetic repairs since you've mentioned that the speaker grill and touchpad were affected. Feel free to send me a PM or submit a case to our Support Team.
