Synapse 3

Hi, little frustrated here, but I'll try and keep it out of my post ><

So, I've had the blackwidow chroma keyboard for a while now, using synapse 2, and quite liked it.

So I buy a razer mouse... and the entire actual nightmare begins.

To elaborate:

To stop my mouse from constantly cycling through the colors, I need synapse 3. It won't install on my operating system because I have not applied all the windows updates... (for good reason).

So, I actually install a fresh operating system on a second drive and all the updates to facilitate this. Get synapse 3 installed, and it's got like, what, 8 processes?! So, whatever, it's ghastly, and doing all sorts of things I don't want it to, but, I'm staying on target here, just need to get the mouse to a static color and go back to synapse 2 for my keyboard right? How hard is this?

IT'S REALLY HARD.

So, since I have all this fancy software, I might as well try it, right?

Visualizer: Mad harsh feedback/buzzing through my sound system after stopping playback with visualizer enabled. Strike one.

Ok, lets try a minimal configuration, just want what I had in synapse 2 (which was fully firewalled) plus a static mouse color... to find that I need to be logged into synapse 3 and online to get my color profile loaded?! Strike two.

So, can I not just set a static color in this razer mouse that I don't have to be online to accomplish and do not require nearly ten processes to do it?

So, now it appears that I get a grey, empty screen for a login screen now for some reason... the software is crashing randomly asking if i want to send an error report....

This is on a fresh copy of windows, fully updated and working fine.

What is with this horrible software and how can I stop the color cycling?

>< >< >< ><

Edit:

Used the uninstall -> repair function... and can log in again. Figured out where to set static settings for the devices, but the devices still go back to color cycling when synapse is not running...

Rude software.... so rude.

@awoserra Thanks for updating the thread and putting up how you fixed the issues you were experiencing. As for your inquiry about lighting, what you observed is normal. Synapse acts as the lighting controller. The devices will revert to the default lighting effect as soon as Synapse is closed and/or rendered inactive.
