Synapse 3 keeps resetting profiles | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
After I lock my computer (Windows 10) and log back in later, one of 2 things usually happens to Synapse 3:

1) Either the lighting profile has switched from whatever I have saved in my profile (advanced effect made in Chroma studio) to some Quick effect (usually spectrum cycling, sometimes ambient awareness)

or

2) The profile for both my Deathadder Elite and Cynosa Chroma has disappeared from the list of profiles, effectively reverting all settings to defaults, making any customization of the said products unusable.

Restarting Synapse will bring the profile back until one of the 2 things happen again. This is always triggered by locking/unlocking the computer. Might not happen every time but will happen eventually.

This has happened on 2 different computers, I have made numerous profiles, reinstalled Synapse multiple times, so it's fairly obvious that this is a bug in Synapse itself. I have read from this forum that other people have this problem too but it's been years and no one seems to be doing anything to fix it.

Also made a support request (201122-000248) just now and I have made these in the past but the support can't be bothered to answer.
So, their official answer is to simply deny that such problem exists in their software:
