Synapse 3 Update Crashed my PC
I've been dealing with an issue lately that happened when Synapse 3 updated. The original Synapse 3 install seemed to work out just fine. I was able to configure my keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, motherboard, RAM, and PC case just fine.
Synapse went through the motions of installing the update, and told me to reboot my PC. Upon reboot, the PC booted into Windows and then I saw it "hang." Frozen mouse trails, background frozen, etc... I let it sit for a bit, tried <ctl><alt><del> but it was a hard lock. So I powered off, and did a reboot.
During reboot, I noticed that programs were taking a while to initialize... and then BAM! BSOD.
Reboot... into Windows, now some programs will not even start correctly... then BSOD.
I got the Windows repair option, did a reboot, then turned off Synapse in the Windows start menu. Reboot, and then uninstalled Synapse. Reboot... and now I have zero issues.
This same thing happened a few weeks ago or so... I just built this machine so it's a fresh Win 10 install, and things were going just fine until Synapse did the update and all hell broke loose. I deleted it then, and just let things run to make sure that I don't have any other conflicts going on. Up until about a couple of days ago, it was all good, so I decided to download and install Synapse again to see if perhaps something got fixed.
The version of Synapse 3 that I downloaded must have been the original one (RazerSynapseInstaller_V1.0.150.895) that I was using without any issues... because it has been working great the past couple of days. Today the new update came... and it's back to BSOD central.
Anybody know of any way I can pull logs to see exactly WTF is causing this?
Thanks!
Mark
