TLDR, Synapse 3 introduce increased delays significantly compared to Synapse 2.
Well, i have just recently purchased a Razer Viper on 12 September as my Razer Deathadder Elite is quite seasoned and has a scroll wheel problem that tends to overscroll itself. Razer Viper forces me to use Synapse 3 and i have noticed some problems in a game that i frequently play, Warframe.
Warframe is known to have a good game engine optimization. It is able to process buttons and keystrokes with whatever delays you are able to respond with, even with mouse or keyboard macros set to 0ms delay.
During these few days that i was playing Warframe, i experienced delays with the exact same functions and macros that i had previously used in DA Elite with Synapse 2. So, i decided to test something with DA Elite as it is supported by both Synapse 2 and Synapse 3.
I used the first link below to test mouse click macro and the second link below to test keystroke macro performed by the mouse.

https://blog.seethis.link/scan-rate-estimator/
These are the results.
** Legends:
** Left is from Synapse 2.
** Right is from Synapse 3.
I used a left click spam macro. Both are identical. Set as "Play while assigned key is pressed."
Result, please look at Click - Mousedown.
I used a keyboard keystroke macro which is used as melee spin attack in Warframe. Both are identical. Set as "Play once."
Result, please look at the delays for each keystroke as well as scan rate at the top.
Below are Razer Viper test results on Synapse 3. It is similar to the DA Elite on Synapse 3.
Some might say that the difference is negligible and will not noticed it during in game. Yes, its true for most games as their game engine are not as optimized as good as Warframe's. For me that plays Warframe, i do noticed it and it ruins the gameplay. It does actually feel sluggish.
This is very frustrating because i was expecting Synapse 3 to have the same result as Synapse 2. But this is clearly not the case. Therefore, by advertising "Hyperesponse" button in Razer Viper which is forced to only use Synapse 3 that has delay problems is false advertising. Even the whole thing about the new optical mouse switch in Razer Viper will have delay problems because of Synapse 3.
Razer Staffs, especially those from the Software Development Team, please explain.
