Subject: Synapse 4 Keybinding Bug – Razer Tartarus V2
Message:
Hello Razer Support,
I’m writing to report a persistent issue with Synapse 4 (build 4.0.86.2508050339) and the Razer Tartarus V2. Keybindings do not apply correctly — remapped keys revert to default behavior or fail to register entirely. I’ve attempted the following troubleshooting steps:
- Resetting profiles and remapping keys from scratch
- Switching D-pad modes and disabling diagonals
- Reinstalling Synapse 4 and updating firmware
None of these resolved the issue. The device appears in Synapse, and changes are saved visually, but the actual input behavior remains unchanged. This severely limits the functionality of the Tartarus V2, which worked flawlessly under Synapse 3.
Given that Synapse 4 is advertised as compatible with legacy devices, I’d appreciate clarification on whether a fix is in development. If not, I’d suggest updating the compatibility claims to reflect current limitations.
Please advise on any upcoming patches or alternative solutions. I’m happy to provide logs or assist in testing if needed.
Thank you,

(Yes, I know this has been reported multiple times. I just want my voice added to the rest. And yes, I am investigating reverting back to Synapse 3.)
