Synapse 4 DPAD remaps are being wiped when i remap key portion on Tartarus Pro

I need help with an issue that just started recently:

I have the Tartarus Pro.

I map my dpad/joystick button, usually to numbers on my keyboard (1 through 4 in this example)

I also change a few of the keys on the keyboard portion. (Caps gets changed to CTRL, C gets changed to ALT, and the keybind switch button gets changed to M).

For some reason, I’ll map the dpad to those numbers listed above and as soon as I map one of the other keyboard keys its like the profile forgets. It shows up in Synapse 4 as remaped correctly but it doesn't work. The keyboard remaps (CTRL, ALT, M) work correctly but the dpad just defaults even though they show remapped in Synapse 4.

Any suggestions? I have reinstalled Synapse 4, factory reset etc.

I posted this in Synapse 4 as well so it can be deleted if needed.

Mine just did the same thing. After you remap the D- pad as soon as you remap regular keys your d-pad stops working

Same issue here. Dpad reverts to up/down/left/right arrow keys….

自分も同じでゲームで振ってるW,D,S,Aが認識されず、かなり迷惑してます。

I have the same issue, just started, it worked fine last night when I switched off the computer, now the hat switch only works as up down left right, instead of wsad as it says it is, it only does this when you remap any other key, and won’t revert back even if you rest all other keys

It happened to me when I was remapping for BF6

Same issue just happened to me. Was working fine till 3am this morning. Went to bed, woke up at 11AM, finally got around to so gaming and BAM. Now I can’t play ANYTHING because all my games are WASD movement and the Dpad is defaulting to Arrow Keys no matter what I do. After YEARS of playing on a Razer Orbweaver Chroma and now the Razer Tartarus Pro, I cannot play any PC games without it.

Yep, same thing happened to me.
Worked fine last night, all messed up tonight.
First it defaulted back to the arrows keys, changed it back to WASD, and now it does nothing.
Reinstalled Synapse 4, deleted the profile and started from scratch, didn’t help…

(last couple of weeks had regular profile losses, where the Tartarus would just completely forget it’s profile,)

Reinstalled Synapse 3, and that works flawlessly...so please Razer, fix synapse 4 for Tartarus. Because the latest version obviously has a big bug...

Happened to my son’s. He is on Synapse 4. I am on Synapse 3 and haven’t had an issue. Started today.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse 4, but that didn't resolve the problem. I've also disconnected all devices except for my keyboard and mouse. Additionally, I went into the device manager and uninstalled anything related to the gamepad. I'm trying to avoid reverting to Synapse 3.

As always, they put lipstick on it, but nobody bothered to check if the software actually does its job. I’d rather go back to version 3, since there are still six more months of them trying to fix version 4 with their clumsy hands.

Same issues! please fix!

Glad I am not the only one. Thanks for the feedback and I am experiencing the same exact symptoms. No matter what, the DPAD reverts back to the up/down/left/right after changing one of the other key mappings. Guess I will be trying Synapse 3 until they fix Synapse 4.

I have tried repairing both Synapse 4 and Chroma, Exporting all profiles to my external drive for safe keeping. Uninstalling all razer software, reinstalling Synapse 4 and Chroma, (still WASD doesn’t work) 😔 and repairing once again. (still no change sadly) You can make a new profile, but the minute you change any keybind from default it breaks the Dpad.. 🤔 WHY is the Dpad not defaulted to WASD anyway, or at least have that as a toggle??? 😠 I honestly have no idea who their QA team is for these updates… but they need to be fired. And DO NOT REPLACE THEM WITH A.I!! 😡

Can confirm Synapse 3 works perfectly. Thanks Again!

Same problem here.

Just after today’s update.

Thanks for (temporarily) bricking my product, Razer. Sheesh.

OMG… I thought it was just me.

I figured I must have installed something wrong and caused a conflict, but it turns out there have been so many others experiencing the exact same issue for hours now?!

I really need to get some work done, but my D-pad is broken, and it’s making things incredibly inconvenient!

same

Disconnect Tartarus Pro : didn't work

 Uninstall Synapse 4 : didn't work

and also I was like f*k it just make macro a key I want( space bar for me) and call it a day!! then I realized my all previously made macros were gone

like nothing there since the beginning.

WHAT IS THIS RAZER??????

yeah you bind a space bar to d-pad so we're delete all your macros, like what?????

This is why you don't do releases on Friday, Razer.

Do you know anything about software?

Got a reply from support.

THIS WORKED FOR ME

Workaround Steps:

1. Delete the current profile or create a new one in Synapse.

2. Change the D-Pad setting from “4 directions” to “8 directions.”

3. Set the keyboard function for Up, Down, Left, Right (8-way).

4. Disable the 4 corner inputs from the 8-way configuration.

5. Once done, you should be able to set keyboard functions for the remaining 19 keys and the scroll.

Thats a giant chain of things to have to do everytime you restart your pc just to make it work.

Same exact issue, thought it was me, glad to see it’s Razer’s fault and not ours. Tried to figure out a solution forever!

Switched the Synapse 3 and everything works perfectly!!!
