Would really appreciate some assistance solving this ongoing issue I’ve faced since switching to Razer products.

Running Windows 11

Launching the Synapse start menu shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Razer as administrator doesn’t open anything and nothing labeled as Razer appears in Task Manager.

I’ve also added Razer Program Files, Program Files x86, and %appdata% folders to windows defender exclusions under virus and threat protection.

Launching C:\Program Files\Razer\RazerAppEngine\RazerAppEngine.exe also doesn’t work

Main problem with this current workaround is that I have to pin a shortcut to the Start Menu which will change with every Synapse update.

Do you use shortcuts from your desktop? If so, create one that points to C:\Program Files\Razer\RazerAppEngine\RazerAppEngine.exe but this time also add “--url-params=apps=synapse” to the end of it. Then name your shortcut as you would. Hope that helps 🤞

The desktop shortcut is already set to "C:\Program Files\Razer\RazerAppEngine\RazerAppEngine.exe" --url-params=apps=synapse, as installed.

Hmm sounds like you’ve done everything then. The only thing left is to completely uninstall and reinstall.

What could work in the meantime is setting up a Task Scheduler entry to run the command a few seconds after login. It’s fidgety and unofficial but works for some people.
