Synapse 4 Rebindings to Naga X Side Buttons Issues

This is an off & on issue I’ve been facing consistently throughout my ownership & growing use of my Naga X & synapse software. Frequently the side buttons on my Naga X completely stop acknowledging my rebinds & macros & return to the default settings. Usually fixes involve something along the lines of deleting the profile, resetting the mouse, or reinstalling Synapse 4 all together. So what I want to know is;

Is there any sort of definite fix for this, or any idea what is actually causing it? I know the Naga X is discontinued, but it DOES say that it’s supported in synapse, however is it *really* being supported?

Besides the obvious issues with Synapse, I really like the Naga X, & I’m not really eager to replace it, but would any of the newer mice by Razer (Naga V2 Pro?) be better adapted?

  • My Naga X is plugged directly into the computer, not thru a hub
  • I’m using the most updated version of Synapse 4 on Windows 11

What can I do to stop this from happening so frequently, is there anything that can be done? What’s causing this? When it does work, the macros & hypershift are great, & I really don’t want to swap mice, so if there's any support to be added for this issue, I’d very much appreciate it.

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

I’m also experiencing the exact same issues since being forced to upgrade to synapse 4 to run the new laptop cooler. It seems like my mouse is being made obselete via software?! Come on razer, lets not do this.

I’m having the same issue with my Naga X everything is up to date plugged directly into the PC. I completely rebound everything uninstalled reinstalled with no success. When I close synapse the last profile on my mouse works and the keys bound to the buttons work. However those keys are set for an old game I don't play so its either 1-12 keys or bound buttons I don't need.

This may sound completely couter-intuitive, but i found that if you quit right out of the razer synapse application, the mouse starts using it’s profile correctly.
It makes no sense, but….

Same, Works fine if razor is uninstalled or closed.

Such great products yet they are still unable to get a Japanese coder to make a great software seems like it is in design maybe war games? who knows.
