Synapse does not find my Razer Deathadder Esential mouse - is it a fake product?

I am trying to connect my Razer Deathadder Essential mouse to Synapse and I get the message that it cannot find the device. I tried plugging in different USB ports, tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work. Also, I am unable to register it as it cannot find the serial number. Can someone please tell me whether it is a fake product? Thank you.

Hey there, @classicRustyRedcafe215

I understand that you’re concerned about your Razer DeathAdder Essential not being detected by Synapse.

Upon checking the serial number, there are no records found in our system. This may indicate that the device is not an authentic Razer product or could be a counterfeit, which would explain why Synapse is unable to detect it and why the serial number cannot be recognized during registration.Could you please let me know via PM where you purchased the device? You may want to contact the seller or marketplace to discuss verification, return, or refund options.

If you have any further questions or need additional help, please feel free to send me a PM, and I’ll be happy to assist you promptly.
