System recovery stuck on Creating system...
Hi!
I bought a second hand Razer blade 15 basic (2020) yesterday.
The previous owner put a clean 1tb SSD in it when selling.
I was told to download a System recovery image and put that on a USB and boot from it to get everything as factory new.
So I came home and did that. But the recovery for the whole night stuck on Creating system....
I rebooted the device in to BIOS and reset all to default. And tried to do the system recovery again.
Hours later.. (21hours) it's still the same as yesterday. Its stuck on Creating system..
It's not frozen since I can move my cursor.
It's a Razor blade 15 basic with i7 10th gen. RTX2070. Upgraded to 32GB RAM.
I don't know what information I need to give more.
The BIOS is on version 1.06 if that's any matter.

+1Try installing clean Windows 10/11 system, instead using recovery:

FiszPLI also tried that. But after the windows install it does not boot into Windows but gets in to Bios. I think it does not make a boot partition or something. That was the actual reason why I wanted to use the System recovery image from Razer. I hoped that the System recovery would make the reovery partition and boot partition.

I also tried that. But after the windows install it does not boot into Windows but gets in to Bios. I think it does not make a boot partition or something. That was the actual reason why I wanted to use the System recovery image from Razer. I hoped that the System recovery would make the reovery partition and boot partition.
- check boot priority order in UEFI/BIOS - is it set to windows boot manager
- What is the model of the disk? I had 2 times some strange situation, that disk wasn't "fully compatible" with the laptop (probably some adata or kingston or other cheap drive) - when OS installed it won't, until you turn off laptop, turn on again (coldboot), also when you were in Windows and restarted it - it also won't booted (it went directly into UEFI).
FiszPLIt's a 1TB WD Blue Nvme disk (as it only takes nvme disks) Yesterday I have installed Linux Pop_Os! and that went flawless! The boot priority is set correct. Even when I click F12 for boot menu. It showed empty with the Windows installation.
2 things that comes to my mind:
- check boot priority order in UEFI/BIOS - is it set to windows boot manager
- What is the model of the disk? Maybe run win10/11 installer one more time, but on the installation screen hold SHIFT + F10 keys to bring cmd. Then make the steps described here under How to Remove MBR Partition Table via CMD? https://www.diskpart.com/articles/remove-mbr-partition-3889i.html After clean the paritions and convert disk to gpt, you can exit diskpart and install Windows 10/11 as usual.
