Tartarus Pro Keys Don't Work- Scroll Wheel, Thumb Button, X-pad Work | Razer Insider

I have two Tartarus Pros, both for work. All of a sudden, the keys 01-20 on the one I’ve had for only 3 months no longer register. The lighting, scroll wheel, thumb button, and x-pad still work, and I’ve confirmed my profiles still map to my applications. I’ve modified, repaired, and reinstalled Synapse, to no avail. I’ve seen a few other posts regarding similar issues with it, but no solutions yet.

No breakage in the cable, no intermittent disconnects, no single keys going out. Simply all at once. It seems that others have had theirs’ give out more slowly, but this one just happened with no warning….

Hardware or software? Any solutions?

I think it may be HW issue, but I’d also test on another PC if you haven’t done it yet.

If you still have warranty, I’d just RMA it.

Turned it all back on today, and it’s working again strangely enough. I tried everything yesterday, including rebooting. If it keeps happening, I’ll obviously have to return it I think.

I have found that the Tartarus pro works wonderfully when Synapse ISN’T running. Do you guys see the same thing?

Obviously it’s just the basic keys but it’s clearly now not a hardware issue and is entirely down to something wrong within Synapse. I don’t understand just how poorly they handle software upgrades. Do they not test? I mean even if they didn’t it shouldn’t take the best part of 6 months to work out what they did wrong.

It also seems mental they are bringing out updates for other things but not addressing the issues that are stopping thousands of their customers using the devices they paid good money for. What a terrible business model. They’ll be out of business if they carry on like this.
