All drivers are updated for all Razer apps. This started to happen after the last driver update - 05/31/2023. My profile is gone from the Tartarus Pro as are my key bindings. When I try to save a new binding, the “save” buttons dims out like it was saved, but when I check the key I see the default binding is still there. I have re-synced it, reset the Tartarus Pro profile, restarted the PC, but nothing seems to work. I simply am not able to customize the key bindings. I have the Tartarus Pro, Huntsman, and Naga. The Huntsman and Naga seem to work fine. Also, my PC is more than adequate - everything worked this past weekend flawlessly.

That’s odd. Do you have Nanoleaf in your setup or part of your Synapse modules? By the way, Nanoleaf is no longer part of Razer Synapse’s app integration. Should you incorporate it in your settings, please remove it and see if the software behavior persists. Otherwise, gather your PC’s MSInfo logs and Synapse 3.0 logs. Please save the file to any online drive account, then paste the shareable link in your PM so we can help you kick-start an investigation. Thanks for your cooperation.
+1I’d try to do clean Synapse reinstall (with all Razer driver removal).
- Uninstall Synapse
- Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
- Then restart your PC
- After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

I tried this - It doesn’t make any difference. This profile configuration app is very broken

Agreed. Any resolution? I am having the same issue.
Reinstalled synapse and drivers and also changed keybind setting to alphanumeric and seems to be holding on to the selections now. I think using the Key Recording function was throwing it for a loop.
Any ideas? I still got this issue same as above. I have tried to uninstall synapse and use razer tools to remove my drivers already.
It’s still the same. It can not save key binding. If you need video. I can record for you guys.

Hi, this issue is still here, i got a tartarus pro for christmas, did m'y binding tested it on CoD it was great, next day thé tartarus wont do as i asked him on synapse hé think he is still not configured and do the factory as told him so all m'y binding are shown but not used and hé always do the bug after i try to bind the joystick…
Please help its a gift from m'y brother he took this for me to thanks me..
I had a similar issue with the button above the D-pad. It wouldn’t change from ALT+5 until I deleted the other Keymaps. If I selected any category other than Keyboard Function, like the Mouse Function (left click) or Switch Keymap (to controller), the setting would take. Flipping back to Keyboard function caused it to change back to ALT+5 no matter what. I deleted the Joystick and Controller keymaps and now I can set the button keymap properly. I don’t use the other keymaps, but I didn’t delete these default and unused keymaps b/c I didn’t think they were doing anything.
Does anyone have any solution for this? My Tartarus Pro worked fine for months and all of a sudden my d-pad custom mappings stopped working and are only doing up/down/left/right. I tried so many things based on this thread and others, including:
- Unplug, reboot, etc.
- Delete all profiles and start again
- Uninstall and reinstall Synapse 4
Interestingly, when I create a new profile I can remap one of the d-pad buttons and it works until I remap literally any other button and then the d-pad stops working.
I’m losing my mind and can’t play my game at all as I’m completely dependent on these buttons for constant play. Any ideas?!
This literally just started happening to me today. I’ve been using it daily without issue for months and all of a sudden my d-pad is now only sending default arrow keys instead of the mapped keys.
If I change it to 8-way, then it sends the mapped keys as expected but the angled directions (up Right, Up Left, Down Right, and Down Left) can’t be mapped the way I need them using 8-way so this isn’t an option for me.
This literally just started happening to me today. I’ve been using it daily without issue for months and all of a sudden my d-pad is now only sending default arrow keys instead of the mapped keys.

I know it was working fine on 8/6 (two days ago). I do see my install of Synapse was updated yesterday 8/7 so my guess is the update is what broke it.
Yeah something to do with a very recent update ~24 hours.. my Thumbstick will not accept keybinds and just seems to work as arrows… uggghhh…

my behavior is
for synapse 4
- it loads the first profile on the list
- refuses to change profile
for synapse 3
- loads any profile properly
- refuses to change bindings on any dpad
