There is no sound in Spotify via Razer Synapse in Windows 11 (Razer Blackshark v2)

I upgraded to Windows 11 and had Synapse 4 installed. When I have a voice conversation via Discord, there is no sound on Spotify. It gets better when I turn off Razer sound effects in Windows sound settings. I cannot use THX and the settings I made. No sound is playing.

Sometimes I watch movies via VLC. I can't change the sound of the movie even though it is my default device. So I can neither shorten nor increase it. I can't use Razer sound effects. Spotify is not playing right now.

I installed Synapse 3 again and it has the same problem. By the way, I have installed discord and spotify many times, there is still a problem. It's like I really regret buying Razer, there are always software problems.

Exactly. I wrote to Razer support and they tell me to turn off audio enhancements. THX does not work when I turn it off. In short, we want to use THX, but we cannot reduce or increase the volume of other applications.

I was able to solve the issue by doing the following: Open Sound settings → Click on the Speakers row that is the Razer USB Sound Card → In the format column, toggle between the options in the 24 bit, 48000 Hz window and also click test. That solved my issue. It is an unusual fix but it worked for me. Hope that helps

I did but it didn't work. With audio enhancements enabled, THX gets its act together. Look, I turn the volume up to 5% on Spotify, but the sound is still playing too loud, it doesn't improve.

Having the same issue. When I click play in Spotify it seems to pickup my background game audio but will make it really really loud and distorted until I pause the song.

I had a similar problem: the Spotify app no longer wanted to play the music more quietly even though the control was at 5% or other low values, alwyays on 100%. The trick that helped me was to deactivate THX Spatial Audio, although if you use Spotify via your web browser it should still work. It's a shame, I like the audio enhancement but if it's that difficult for Razer and Spotify to find a solution then I have no idea. I only use the Blackshark v2 for listening, not the microphone.

not really a solution for me because I use spicetify to customize my app and I don’t have premium so ads are annoying

Aye this soundbar is giving so much issue. I listen to melodic death metal and play WoW, and the subwoofer refuses to function OUTSIDE of games. I had to disable “Audio Enhancements” under Windows sound control to get any form of bass/subwoofer back. It seems to turn OFF when I leave games when it’s on.

Idk what I did but I had full subwoofer control until the Spotify app glitched out, until uninstalling/reinstalling it all the crap shenanigans with loss of control over the subwoofer/volume reappeared. What the Hels is going on?!

Hi Deweyhammond and everyone from this thread. Try downloading and installing the Razer Driver Clean-up tool. Once done, restart your PC and reinstall the Razer Synapse, including its updates. Should the issue persist, please submit a case to our Support Team through this link: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/warranty-support
